What Is eBay?
eBay is an online marketplace where people sell items. It also offers services such as auctions, classifieds, shopping carts, and payment processing.
It was founded by Pierre Omidyar in 1995. He started it out as AuctionWeb.com and changed the name to eBay in 1996.

How Does eBay Affiliate Work?

- Log into your eBay partner network account.
On the home tab, scroll down to the link creation panel (create a promotable link). You can expand the panel to see more options.
- Select a campaign.
Typically, I select the default campaign, but campaign ids allow me to organize my campaigns by categories, site pages or placements, keywords, or various websites. For instance, I could create 2 campaigns to track my results from Twitter and my website.
- The Custom ID field is optional.
You can use it to track your traffic within an ad group or across multiple ad groups. For example, you could use a campaign-level custom ID to track traffic coming from a specific page, but use a site-level custom ID to see how many people came directly from the homepage.
